Your Customers
Send a deflated beach ball to each of your customers. Invite them to blow up the beach ball to view an invite to a blow out summer sale! Have an actual summer sale event, or ask customers to redeem the beach ball just like a coupon for a discount offer.
Your Employees
Organize a Beach Ball, a beach-themed party, for your employees. Instead of hiring entertainment, have your employees provide it! Place employees on a team and have each choose a deflated beach ball. When teams blow up their beach ball, they see the name of a beach song, such as California Girls or Surf City, written on it. Teams must perform a Karaoke version of this song at the party. Encourage teams to not only sing the song, but to choreograph it and perform it in costume. Have a panel judge each team’s performance, a la American Idol. Or, have each participant vote for his or her favorite team. Participants are not allowed to vote for their own team. To insure teams don’t cheat, give each participant a voting slip with their team name at the top of the voting slip! Award a prize to each participant on the team that gets the most votes.
Your Friends & Family
Here's a great mixer game to play at your next summer party. As friends or family arrive, hand them a miniature beach ball with a letter of the alphabet on it. Encourage participants to make beach-themed words with other guests at the party. For instance, a person with the letter "S" could join a person with the letter "U" and another with the letter "N" to form the word "sun." Then, the person with the letter "S" could go on to form the word "sand" with different people who hold the letters "A," "N" and "D." Assign volunteers to check words that people form with one another. Volunteers hand out leis to each person each time they form a different beach-related word. At the end of the mixer, award a prize to the person who collected the most leis.
