Your Customers
Invite customers to choose their favorite “class” from a list and take advantage of the offer associated with each. For instance, if they choose Math, they get a free consultation so you can figure out a problem for them. If they choose History, they get a discount off their next purchase if they bring in a receipt for a previous purchase.
Your Employees
Have a Back To School Training Day and post the “class schedule” up on a blackboard. For instance, you could offer Chemistry, which teaches customer service skills and Astronomy, which provides success tips to help employees reach for the stars. Don’t forget to host recess, complete with retro favorites such as a kickball, or dodgeball tournament!
Your Friends & Family
Host a Back To School Party for your family and friends. During the party, reveal a list of “classes” that they can sign up for. For instance, anyone who wants to go for daily walks with others can sign up for Physical Education. Anyone who wants to start a car pool can sign up for Driver’s Education. For a fun Back To School mixer, give everyone a small chalkboard when they arrive and ask him or her to write their funniest school memory on it. Collect the chalkboards, and then read out the memories, one-by-one. Ask guests to write down who they think wrote each memory. Collect guest’s guess lists and then reveal whose memory was whose. Award a prize to the guest who guessed the most correctly.
