Developmental benefits can be broken into cognitive, affective, and social benefits. Examples of cognitive benefits include abstract thinking, problem-solving, and mastering new concepts. What statistics do you have to support that team building works?
Nothing scientific. Only hundreds of satisfied customers! Remember, a wise old man once said that “Not everything that can be measured counts. And not everything that counts can be measured.” Here are some other wise comments…
“If you want creative workers, give them time to play.” John Cleese
“If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.” - Albert Einstein

What's the purpose to hosting a recreational event or party?
“After all, what is your hosts' purpose in having a party? Surely not for you to enjoy yourself; if that were their sole purpose, they'd have simply sent champagne and women over to your place by taxi.” - PJ O’Rourke

How long does a typical recreational event last?
Typical icebreaker activities last 1-2 hours. Typical stand-alone events last 2-4 hours. However, we’ve had events last as little as 10 minutes and as long as one week! Let us know your time constraints and goals and our event consultants will create the perfect solution!
How many can participate in an event at a time?
No group size is too small or large! Certain events work well with different size groups. So, our event consultants provide you with the best options for your group’s size.
Which event should I choose?
It depends on your needs! Some of the benefits for our standard events are listed in Event Examples (insert a link here?). Or, tell our event consultants your event goals and we tell you which events work best to deliver them.
Some of the events seem, well…a bit wildly different! Are you sure my guests won’t think they are too silly?
Events that are wildly different are the ones that generate the most buzz and memories. What are people going to talk about and remember more – the cocktail party with the band playing in the background? Or, the cocktail party where they made race cars out of fruits and vegetables and raced them on a pinewood derby track!
Why should we host a recreational event?
There are so many benefits that we had to create a page just for them - Key Benefits!
What space requirements are there for a recreational event?
Events can be held indoors, or outdoors. However, if you choose to host your event outdoors, a rain-back-up plan is advised and we can help with that. Also, some events require little space, while others require a great deal. An event consultant can help you choose the best event for the location you have in mind.
Can your events accommodate those with disabilities?
Absolutely! Let us know if your guests have special needs so we can design the event so everyone can participate.
Why don’t you offer ropes courses?
Personally, we are wildly adventurous and love to participate in ropes courses. However, that’s not the case for those who are unfit, frightened by heights, or looking foolish in front of others. The recreational event you host should be fun for all of your guests! And, our events are designed in just this way.
What’s the difference between you and a party planner?
Whereas party planners take care of all aspects of the event – booking the event space, invitations, catering, entertainment, etc. We specialize solely in putting on the recreational aspect of the event. Why? Because we don’t believe in being all things to all people. Instead, we spend all of our time becoming event experts who create and implement the best recreational events you’ll ever experience.
So, if we need catering, event space, décor, etc. you can’t help us?
We partner with the best in the industry. We are happy to refer you to our partners so you can work with them direct. Or, we’ll be happy to act as your liaison for a small additional investment.
What is the typical event investment?
Event prices vary, based on inclusions, number of participants, location, etc. However, our minimum investment to run an event for you is $1,500. Many clients are shy about sharing event budget. However, if you don’t share your budget with us, we could quote an event that is out of your price range, which results in wasted time for all concerned. A smaller event budget may mean there are fewer bells and whistles. But, you can still get a big bang for your buck!
Is tax included in the cost of your events?
Our services are not taxable. So, the event price quoted is all-inclusive and there are no hidden charges.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, all major credit cards are accepted. However, a 5% service fee is added on to the event investment if you choose to use a credit card.
Why do you charge a 2% service fee for events booked less than two weeks out?
This is to cover rush charges for shipping and overtime for employees to produce a quality last-minute event.
