"Smiles don't have to be saved for a rainy day. It's good to waste them."

They say that April showers bring May flowers, but that's no reason to get the rainy day blues this April! Brighten up a rainy day for...
Give your existing and potential customers a reason to go outside on a rainy day. Send them a coupon for a free gift or discount that can only be redeemed at your location on a rainy day of their choice in April.
Have your employees look for the silver lining behind each cloud—literally! One rainy day, post up cloud cutouts in your location. Allow each employee to put his or her name on one cloud. Once each employee has done so, flip all of the clouds over. Award a prize to the employee(s) who wrote their name on one that has a silver backing. Alternatively, put the cloud cutouts up on April 1st. Each time an employee reaches a goal that month, allow them to flip a cloud over at random. If the cloud cutout's backing is silver, the employee wins a prize.
You can't do much on a rainy day. So, why not invite family and friends over for a rainy day rendezvous? Give every guest a nametag in the shape of a cloud. Ask them to write a challenge they are facing—something that is clouding their outlook. Encourage guests to read other guest's nametags and offer commiserations and preferably, solutions! It's amazing how when a problem is shared, solutions often present themselves.
