A Day to Remember

"How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes"
– Maya Angelou

Recognize the heroes who have given their lives for their country this Memorial Day by celebrating those who still fight today through...

Your Customers

Ask customers to bring in items needed for military care packages. Give everyone who brings something in a discount, or enter him or her into a prize drawing. Award another prize to the customer who brings the most items in.

Your Employees

Organize a Lazer Tag, Paintball or Capture The Flag competition. Encourage participants to bring items for military care packages into work on the day of the competition. Award points to teams based on the number of items their teammates gathered and on who won each game. Then, award all items gathered and a cash donation in the winning team’s name to a non-profit that helps those in the military.

Your Friends & Family

Use the money you would have spent on a dinner out with friends and family on a shopping trip. Instead of buying items for yourselves, put your guests on teams and give them a shopping list with items such as, "buy something that would ease the boredom of a soldier" and "buy a favorite comfort food" on it. Come back at a set time to compare what each team bought. Everyone votes on the best item purchased in each category. The team that gets the most votes wins a small prize and all of the items are put into care packages for the military.
