Team Building Company Wildly Different partners with Local Non-profit Feeding Children Everywhere to Fight Hunger in Central Florida

Wildly Different: Wild Run

Orlando, FL (July 24, 2012) – According to the United Nations, nearly one in seven people go to bed hungry every single night. This includes children living in poverty, whose only meal may be a reduced-priced or free lunch at school. Nationwide, it’s estimated there are 14 million children that risk going hungry this year. As always, the children suffer the most when families face hardships during difficult economic times.

It’s no secret, hungry children are not getting the nutrition they need to live a healthy, active life. Proper nutrition is vital to a healthy brain, healthy organs, and healthy skin and bones. Hunger is not just a problem in other countries – there are too many families who go hungry, every single day, right here in Central Florida. To help fight ongoing hunger here in our community, Wildly Different and Feeding Children Everywhere (FCE) partnered to offer a corporate team building activity to get teams actively involved in packaging healthy meals to feed children and families in real need.

How does a Feeding Children Everywhere Team Building Event Work? Wildly Different Team Building knows that when you gather great teams of people who are ready to make a positive difference, provide them with awareness of the critical need and empower them with the tools and materials to make meaningful impact, the result is nothing short of amazing. Lives are changed for the better, one person, one meal at a time. We’re not out to save the world, just making sure our children have a source to turn to for a nutritious meal and hope for a better tomorrow.

“Together, We Can!” That’s the heartfelt spirit teams feel during this activity. Hands-on participation and having a good time with colleagues in the process are key camaraderie building factors. Four or more efficient assembly lines of work for teams are constructed at a designated event location. Each set of these assembly lines can easily accommodate up to 60 participants at a time – you know the saying, many hands make light the task of carrying a heavy load? With this activity, we are making light the task of putting hundreds of meals on the tables of hungry children and families across the Central Florida region.

Throughout the Feeding Children Everywhere Team Building Event, individuals may step up to any of the tasks in the main assembly area. These tasks include refilling supplies, measuring ingredients, sealing packages, labeling the meals, and creating messages for the children who will be receiving the food. This hands-on activity is a labor of love and a spirit of true generosity. Participants may meet and network with colleagues or other event attendees, and create an instant feel-good atmosphere for everyone. The rewards and results of this team building activity go far beyond the corporate team; it goes deep into the heart of community.

Wildly Different is committed to giving back to the community by creating awareness and engaging local non-profit organizations to make a significant and positive difference in the world. Simply put, the Wildly Different team knows how good it feels to help. In fact, some of the most popular activities offered by the company are the charitable give back activities. It is through these team building event activities that Wildly Different and Feeding Children Everywhere formed a strong partner relationship.

The mission of the FCE is a social charity that empowers and mobilizes people to assemble healthy meals for hungry children. Launched in 2010, Feeding Children Everywhere is a nonprofit organization based in Orlando, FL. Packing events show fundraising groups that they are having a tangible impact on the hunger crisis, as their involvement makes distribution possible. The food is provided at no cost to local organizations in the U.S. and in different regions around the world. To date, FCE has mobilized 40,000 people and shipped more than 8 million meals worldwide.
