Teams have an amazing time chasing down locations around town in their team car where they acquire points for performing physical, mental and creative challenges.

In the television show Amazing Race, the emphasis is on the race. In the Amazing Chase road rally event, the emphasis is on the chase! Teams don’t get points for being the first team to complete the event, so teams can take it at their own pace. Instead, they earn points by how well the complete the physical, mental and creative tasks they face along the way.

The road rally event begins at the Amazing Chase Event team pit stop mat. There, each team receives their Amazing Chase car kit, complete with rules, clue cards that tell them were to find challenge locations and envelopes containing details on what it is they have to do. Challenges include:

• Physical Challenges
• Mental Challenges
• Creative Challenges
• Roadblock Challenges

When a team arrives at a challenge location, they rip open their challenge envelope to discover what type of challenge(s) they need to complete before moving on. At some locations on the road rally course, teams may get a Detour – a choice of what it is they have to do. There are pros and cons to each choice, so teams must decide wisely. At other road rally locations, if teams can find the Fast Forward card hidden there, they earn extra points.

Teams must meet at a set time for the Amazing Chase finale. During the finale, teams kick back to enjoy refreshments while the Amazing Chase crew tally up the team’s points. Then, the winner of the road rally is announced, taking all of the air out of the tires of all but one team. The event ends as the winners come up to collect their Amazing Chase award medals, which they can proudly hang from their rearview mirrors.
